Littlejohn Environmental Consulting

About Us

Providing a wealth of knowledge and experience to support Indigenous nations, government bodies, and project developers across Western Canada.

Background

The principal of Littlejohn Environmental Consulting is Nanaimo-based engineer
Dr. Patrick Littlejohn.

With a PhD in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering and over a decade of senior professional experience, Patrick has provided technical services to Indigenous communities, governments, and mine proponents on dozens of resource projects across Canada.

Patrick has contributed his deep understanding of mine water treatment and management to multidisciplinary teams across Western Canada. He has played a significant role in securing several hundred million dollars of investment in environmental mitigations, commercialization of multiple cutting-edge technologies, and in regulatory policy development.

I have had the pleasure of working with Patrick for several years on various issues in the oil sands. He is not only technically extremely astute, but can communicate concepts and issues clearly, which is rare for people with strong technical skills.

He has earned the trust of several Indigenous clients for his rigour, attention to detail, and deep understanding of the community’s concerns. His work is timely, thorough, clearly communicated and very strong. I trust his technical assessments because I know how thoroughly he works through issues, and that he will be honest and forthright about his findings. I very much enjoy working with him.
